Set up your first weave
What is a weave?
A weave is a reusable Google Drive project blueprint: the folder hierarchy, the Doc/Sheet/Slide templates, and the variables. You define it once. Every launch is a complete project.
Smart Mode is not required. You can do this by hand in a few minutes. Smart Mode is coming soon.
Steps
- Sign up and connect Google Drive.
- Name the weave after the engagement type, not the client. Example: Brand identity, not Acme.
- Build the folder hierarchy the way you already work.
- Attach the Docs, Sheets, and Slides you already use.
- Define variables (client name, dates, project name).
- Test-launch into a sandbox folder and check names, nested folders, and filled files.
- Launch for a real client.
Tips
- One weave per engagement type, not per client.
- Put variables in file names and inside Docs/Sheets/Slides so launch fills both.
- If a nested folder is missing in the test launch, fix the weave before you use it live.
